Bflex and IPBX: importing a professional audio message onto your voicemail

Bflex: Bouygues Telecom Business’s professional voicemail service

Business customers of Bouygues Telecom Entreprises have access to the solution Bflex, a unified communications platform that manages all lines, voicemail boxes and IVRs via a centralised administrator portal. Unlike the standard mobile voicemail service (660), Bflex allows audio files to be imported directly into each user’s voicemail box.

This is the key difference between the general public and business users: on a Bflex line, the welcome message is not recorded by voice over the telephone. It is uploaded as an audio file via the administration portal, which ensures consistent professional quality across all lines.

Personal voicemail : Every Bflex user has their own voicemail box, which can be accessed and configured via BflexCare (the user portal) or by dialling 660
Importing an audio file : Welcome announcements and IVR messages can be imported via the Bflex administration portal
IVR announcements : fully customisable multiple-choice menus with personalised audio files
On-hold music : replace the default music with a custom file
IPBX on the Bouygues line : if you have a third-party telephone switchboard, the file is uploaded by your telecoms installer
Good to knowIf your Bouygues contract states Bflex, Bouygues Telecom Business or Btip, you can import audio files into your voicemail.

Each employee can also access their voicemail via their own BflexCare portal, or by dialling the 660 from their Bouygues mobile. The administrator can enable or disable access as required.

Telephone switchboard and IPBX on the Bouygues line

If your business has a telephone switchboard (3CX, Mitel, RingOver, Aircall, Alcatel, etc.) connected to Bouygues Telecom lines, your welcome message is not managed by the 660 service. It is managed directly within your IPBX in the form of audio files uploaded by your telecoms installer.

With Bouygues Telecom’s business solutions (Bflex, IPBX), importing audio files ensures a message of consistent quality, without being dependent on the acoustics of an office or an employee’s speaking ability.

Voconix generates an audio file ready for import in 30 seconds: you write your text, choose from the AI voices available in 5 languages, add music from a selection of over 10,000 tracks if you wish, and download the file. Bouygues mobile voicemail (660)

Bouygues and B&YOU plans and pay-as-you-go cards: access, customisation and settings

What is the Bouygues Mobile voicemail service used for?

The Bouygues mobile voicemail service (accessible by dialling 660) is enabled by default on all Bouygues Telecom and B&YOU plans, as well as on pay-as-you-go SIM cards. It activates automatically if you do not answer the call, or if your phone is switched off or out of range.

More than just a voicemail service, the Bouygues voicemail is often the first point of contact a caller has with you when they are unable to reach you. A clear and professional welcome message makes all the difference: it reassures the caller, lets them know when you’ll be available and shows them that you take calls seriously.

Scripts and tips for your Bouygues voicemail

What should you say in your message?

A good voicemail message should be prepared before calling 660. It should be short (15 to 25 seconds), state who you are, say when you will call back, and ask the caller to leave a message. The scripts below are ready to use.

Standard messageHello, you’ve reached [First name Surname]’s voicemail. I’m not available at the moment. Please leave your name and number, and I’ll call you back as soon as possible.
Business message: self-employedHello, you have reached [First name Surname], [job title]. I am currently in a meeting. Please leave your contact details and the reason for your call, and I will get back to you within 24 hours.
Out-of-office message: holidaysHello, I will be away from [date] to [date]. When I return, I will check my messages and call you back. Thank you for your understanding.
Automatic closure messageHello, [Company] is closed until [date]. Please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we return.

Can you change your Bouygues message using a downloaded audio file?

❌ No: on Bouygues and B&YOU consumer plans

The Bouygues mobile voicemail service (660) and the B&YOU voicemail service do not allow you to import an audio file. You can only record a message by voice when you call 660. This restriction applies to all major operators’ consumer plans.

Good to knowVoconix can help you prepare the perfect script to read out when you ring 660: the AI voice generator generates texts tailored to your business and allows you to check the pronunciation before recording.

It is separate from the mobile voicemail service (660) and can be accessed via the number 661. Bouygues’ Box 4G and Box 5G packages do not include a landline service, so there is no 661 voicemail service.

Since iOS 18, your iPhone has had two voicemail systems running in parallel: Apple Voicemail (Live Voicemail) and the Bouygues voicemail service (660).

If you customise your advert in the Apple settings (Phone > Voicemail), it synchronises automatically with the 660. This is the Apple message that your callers will hear.
If you customise your advert directly on the 660, this customisation does not necessarily synchronise with Apple.
Good to knowTo avoid any confusion, use Apple’s customisation settings (iPhone Settings > Phone > Voicemail): these are automatically taken into account by Bouygues.
